Management Department
The Ha Long Bay – Yen Tu World Heritage Management Department is a public service unit under the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province. Its function is to advise and assist the Provincial People’s Committee of Quang Ninh in carrying out the management, protection, conservation, scientific research, restoration, creation, and promotion of the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, historical heritage, landscapes, biodiversity, and ecosystems.
It organizes tourism and service activities in the areas of the Ha Long Bay Natural World Heritage Site and the Cultural World Heritage of the Yen Tu–Vinh Nghiem–Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes in Quang Ninh Province (including the Yen Tu Complex of Monuments and Landscapes; the Tran Dynasty Special National Relic Site; the Bach Dang Special National Historical Relic Cluster; and Bai Tu Long National Park – ASEAN Heritage Park).

Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay is located in the northeastern part of Viet Nam, within Quang Ninh Province, approximately 165 kilometres from the capital city of Ha Noi. The Bay covers an area of 1,553 km² and comprises 1,969 islands, of which 980 have been named. The UNESCO-inscribed World Heritage property spans 434 km², encompassing 775 islands, including 411 named islands. The area is renowned for its dense concentration of limestone islands, spectacular caves, and pristine beaches of exceptional beauty.

Bai Tu Long National Park
Characterised by a diverse marine and coastal ecosystem, including mangrove forests, coral reefs and numerous rare and endangered species, Bái Tử Long National Park plays a vital role in the conservation of outstanding natural values. The area represents a well-preserved landscape where terrestrial and marine ecosystems are closely interconnected.

Yên Tử Scenic and Historic Complex
The spiritual centre of Trúc Lâm Zen Buddhism in Viet Nam, associated with Emperor Trần Nhân Tông, who embraced monastic life at Yên Tử. The complex represents a harmonious integration of sacred landscapes, religious architecture and long-standing spiritual traditions.

Trần Dynasty Historic Site Complex
A historic and cultural complex associated with the Trần Dynasty (1225–1400), one of the most illustrious periods in Vietnamese history, renowned for its three victories against the Mongol invasions. The site preserves outstanding cultural, spiritual and architectural values that reflect the resilience and identity of the nation.
